We are proud to be partnering with a leading housing association, who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based in Kent, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a salary of £53,888 - £67,360 plus a Car Allowance of £2,329.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role ideally managing planned works programmes.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading financial management of planned works programmes, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • Procuring contracts and managing works through frameworks
  • Assessing contractor cost claims and processing monthly valuations
  • Managing variations, change control, and final accounts
  • Carrying out delay analysis and managing extension of time claims
  • Administering contracts across JCT, NEC, and related forms
  • Ensuring value for money and driving cost efficiencies across programmes
  • Supporting stakeholder relationships across internal teams and contractors
  • Mentoring and supporting a Quantity Surveyor apprentice joining in 2026

Experience required:

  • Significant experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role
  • Proven experience managing planned works programme and/or framework contracts
  • Experience working within social housing, local authority, or a regulated environment

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. NEC, JCT)
  • Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
