The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

We are currently working in partnership with a national Trade Union, looking to bring in an experienced Legal Specialist to assist them at one of their offices in the South-East. The position is a three-month interim position whilst they recruit permanently, which you will be invited to be a part of if successful. You can choose which of their many South-East offices; however, this role can be done predominantly remotely. The rate is negotiable and dependent upon experience, however, due to the urgency to bring in someone with the relevant experience, they are happy to be flexible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Holding responsibility for the management and delivery of all the Region's legal services
  • Maintaining an extensive knowledge of all areas of employment law especially; unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, equal pay and common law litigation
  • Acting as the link person, at direction of the Regional Secretary with the Unions ABS and panel Solicitors
  • Maintaining and overviewing of all employment law related matters being pursued by panel Solicitor/ABS

Experience required:

  • Experience working at another union highly desirable
  • Extensive Employment Law knowledge and experience

Working hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
