Our client, based in South London, is currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Project Manager on a 12 fixed term contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The annual salary is £58,000 with 1 day working from home.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing Employer’s Agents and specialist consultants as required to ensure effective contractor oversight and performance management
  • Carrying out surveys and property inspections across the group in relation to fire safety, ensuring quality assurance standards are maintained
  • Providing technical advice and support to the Head of Asset Investment and Programmes, Head of Property, and Director on fire safety matters and related compliance issues
  • Supporting the Director and Heads of Service in maintaining effective fire safety arrangements across the Group’s High-Rise Buildings (HRBs), with particular focus on Ventura House
  • Assisting in the development of future fire safety programmes based on survey findings, desktop reviews, and Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)
  • Managing contracts, including issuing Contract Instructions, processing variations, and preparing valuation statements where required
  • Ensuring all building safety compliance, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements are identified, monitored, and progressed appropriately
  • Working closely with the Head of Property and Property Managers to ensure recommendations from FRA reports, stock condition surveys, and HHSRS assessments are actioned and completed by the relevant teams

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Proven experience in managing complex fire safety projects and programmes, with demonstrable experience of managing contracts, Employer’s Agents and consultants and works contractors
  • Experience in issuing contract instructions, carrying out quality assurance inspections

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to communicate technical and policy matters to staff, tenants and external agencies
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills including influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly
