We are currently working in partnership with a growing construction and property consultancy based in London, who are recruiting for an Associate Director – Project Management on a permanent basis. The position is due to start upon notice, and the salary on offer is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading construction projects within a consultancy, client-side or contractor environment, strong commercial awareness, and experience managing client relationships and multidisciplinary teams. Applications are welcomed from both established Associate Directors and ambitious Senior Project Managers looking to take the next step in their career, as the organisation offers genuine support, mentorship and a clear pathway into senior leadership.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading major construction projects and programmes through the full project lifecycle
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
  • Providing strategic oversight, governance and risk management across multiple commissions
  • Contributing to a close-knit and supportive team environment, where collaboration, open communication and strong working relationships are highly valued
  • Attending events and meetings with the Project Management Team to ensure business development and growth
  • Procuring and managing multidisciplinary consultant and design teams
  • Managing and developing key client accounts to generate repeat business opportunities
  • Contributing to business development activities, bids and tender submissions
  • Representing the organisation at networking events and industry engagements
  • Supporting recruitment, resource planning and the growth of the Project Management team
  • Mentoring, coaching and developing junior colleagues across the business
  • Contributing to a collaborative and team-focused culture, building strong relationships across the organisation
  • Supporting business planning initiatives and contributing to the future growth and direction of the team

Experience required:

  • Experience within construction consultancy, client-side project management or a contractor environment
  • Experience managing project budgets, programmes and risk
  • Experience procuring and managing multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Experience working with construction programmes and project scheduling
  • Experience managing client relationships and key stakeholders
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders or business development activities
