We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in Somerset, who are recruiting for a Litigation Solicitor to focus on Disrepair cases, on a 3 month minimum locum basis.
The hourly rate is £62.00/hour (Umbrella). Both full time (37 hour per week) and part time (25 hours per week) will be considered.
This is a majority remote bases role, however court attendance in Somerset is required 1-2 times per month.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Manage own caseload and advise on litigation matters, specialising in disrepair
- Undertake possession proceedings and own advocacy
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents, and provide case analysis
- Assist in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate
- Advise in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement work
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior members of the Litigation team
Experience required:
- Experience required in Disrepair Litigation
- Local Government experience
