Our client, based in Central / East London, is currently recruiting for an L&D Manager on a 6 month temporary contract. The position is due to start on 16th June 2025 on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position, with the full time salary equivalent being between £53,247 - £59,891 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have full membership of the CIPD and have experience managing teams in L&D, HR and operations.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading the development and delivery of the organisations learning and development strategy, aligning it with current and future organisational needs, including talent management and succession planning.
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive annual L&D programme, incorporating blended learning methods and identifying learning needs across departments and teams.
  • Managing the staff induction and performance management processes, ensuring they reflect values and support continuous development.
  • Overseeing 2 HR/L&D advisors, being responsible for their appraisals and progression monitoring.
  • Leading HR projects and events such as restructures, conferences, and Values Days, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and organisational values.
  • Maintaining and developing HR policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring compliance with employment law and GDPR, and providing clear reporting metrics to senior leadership.

Experience required:

  • Experience in a learning and development management role or team leadership role.
  • Experience of managing a team.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Understanding of and commitment to equity and diversity issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Rewards and Benefits:

  • Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.
