We are proud to be partnering with a leading charity based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint an HR Business Partner (ER and Performance Improvement focus) on a 3-month contract. This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and an hourly rate of up to £29 via an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations, with hands-on experience managing complex and high-volume casework. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing expert ER support and oversight across complex case management, working closely with the wider HR team
- Ensuring consistency in ER advice and process by developing clear casework guidance, templates, and process maps
- Taking the lead on key and high-risk ER cases and offering backfill support when needed
- Supporting the development of high-quality HR data and reporting to inform strategic decisions and strengthen the People Partnering approach
- Reviewing and improving key policies and processes (e.g. maternity, paternity, neonatal)
Experience required:
- A strong background in employee relations
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
- Experience handling sensitive information
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and data-informed decision making
Working hours: 2/3 days working from home Monday – Friday.
