The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

We are currently working in partnership with a national property maintenance and compliance contractor, who are recruiting for a Permanent Health & Safety Business Partner. The position is due to start in line with candidates' notice periods and offers a competitive salary alongside a comprehensive benefits package!

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, have experience working within construction, possess a full UK driving license and have proven experience supporting operational teams across multi-site contracts.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group H&S governance framework
  • Advising operational teams on safe systems of work and compliance requirements
  • Carrying out site inspections, RAMS reviews, risk assessments and compliance audits
  • Investigating incidents, accidents and near misses, supporting corrective actions
  • Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and awareness sessions
  • Monitoring H&S data and ensuring accurate reporting across contracts
  • Supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance and internal audit activity
  • Working closely with managers, supervisors and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture
  • Keeping up to date with legislation, best practice and industry developments

Experience required:

  • Experience working within construction, scaffolding or high-risk environments
  • Experience supporting operational teams across multi-site contracts
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations
  • Experience within repairs, maintenance or social housing environments would be desirable

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong knowledge of CDM, COSHH and UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Risk assessment and compliance management
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Practical and solutions-focused approach to improving safety performance
  • Ability to influence and support teams at all levels
