The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Project Officer (Housing) on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis, with a requirement to attend the office in Oxted 2-3 days per week. The salary is negotiable dependent upon experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience providing project and administrative support within a Housing or Local Government setting and will possess strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the delivery of Housing Service projects and transformation initiatives, including Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) workstreams
  • Maintaining project plans, risk registers, action trackers and performance dashboards
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities, including producing agendas, minutes and action logs
  • Gathering, analysing and presenting data to support service redesign, statutory returns and strategic planning
  • Drafting reports, briefing notes, business cases and committee papers
  • Acting as a central point of contact for project enquiries and information requests
  • Supporting procurement and contract administration processes within the Housing Service
  • Conducting research into housing policy, legislation and best practice to support service improvements

Experience required:

  • Experience providing project and administrative support within a Housing, Public Sector or Local Government environment
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and managing competing priorities
  • Experience producing reports, presentations and project documentation

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Ability to analyse data and present information clearly
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Ability to conduct research and quickly understand new areas of work
