Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Planning Administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The annual salary is £35,162, with 2/3 days working from home!
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for planning appeals, hearings and inquiries, including managing documentation, correspondence, timetables, webcasting and case records.
- Act as a central coordination point for appeals and inquiries, liaising with planning case officers, managers, Legal Services and the Planning Inspectorate.
- Monitor appeal and inquiry deadlines, ensuring statutory requirements and submission dates are met.
- Maintain accurate, up to date appeal records on the planning IT system and document management systems.
- Assist with the preparation, collation and submission of appeal statements, evidence bundles and inquiry documentation.
- Support the organisation and administration of hearings and inquiries, including room bookings, attendance arrangements, document circulation and post event actions.
- Record appeal decisions and outcomes and assist with the analysis of trends and performance information for management reporting.
Experience required:
- Experience in Social Housing.
- Experience working with customers within housing.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Fantastic written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve, present information and make decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills.
