Our client, based in Devon, is currently recruiting for a Commercial Building Surveyor on a 6-month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The daily rate for the role is negotiable up to £325 a day paid via an Umbrella Company.
This role will support the delivery of reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and capital works across a varied corporate property portfolio, working closely with contractors, building managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure buildings remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and building fabric projects across corporate assets
- Undertaking pre and post inspections, condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and project management activities
- Supporting delivery of capital and revenue investment programmes, ensuring quality, cost control, and compliance standards are achieved
- Managing and monitoring contractors, contracts, and CDM compliance across maintenance and improvement works
- Supporting the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and operational processes
- Maintaining accurate stock condition data, KPI reporting, and budget monitoring information
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including CDM, asbestos, fire, gas, and electrical regulations
- Liaising with internal teams, contractors, building users, and external agencies to support effective service delivery
Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm, 3 days working from home.
