We are currently partnering with a global company that provides project management, consultancy and operational support for major projects and programmes in the UK. They are looking for Cost Managers to join their team in London.

This role is an opportunity for someone to join the organisations Healthcare team and work on projects to build and refurbish hospitals across the UK.

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £50,000 to £85,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents
  • Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
  • Making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
  • Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client

Experience required:

  • Accredited MRICS member desired
  • Good knowledge of technical matters including different procurement routes, value management and value engineering
  • Experience of working with NEC suite of contracts

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the risks, challenges and opportunities facing public-sector healthcare bodies
  • Ability to lead clients through different stages of projects from feasibility through to completion
  • Knowledge and experienced in use of Microsoft Office packages, CAD and CostX
