We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract to drive improvements in employee lifecycle and HR processes, as well as support, coach and develop managers to lead disciplinary and investigation processes. This is a hybrid position based 3 days a week in Truro with two days home working and paying up to £46k.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering improved employee lifecycle and effective People processes throughout allocated services
- Coaching and supporting managers through disciplinary, investigation, performance management and absence processes
- Quality-assuring people processes, ensuring policy compliance, consistent practice and effective risk management
- Partnering with staff and managers at all levels, providing practical direction, advice and guidance in collaboration with the wider People team
- Supporting organisational change, recruitment activity, induction, new starter and leaver processes across allocated services
- Designing and delivering HR training for Team Leaders and managers, including performance, sickness absence and early issue resolution
- Turning staff feedback into practical improvements that strengthen culture, reduce absence and improve retention
About You:
- Proven ability to deliver on all aspects of people management including recruitment, retention, development and management
- Experience and knowledge of the essentials of employment law, and proven ability in managing complex employee relations work
- Proven ability to plan, identify and mitigate risk, manage and deliver HR, manager training or projects
- Proven ability to work independently, drive change and adapt approaches
