The predicted salary is between 14 - 18 £ per hour.

Our client, a London Borough, is currently recruiting for an Electoral Services Assistant on a 4-month temporary contract to assist with the upcoming election. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with the client looking to interview as soon as w/c 02/02. The hourly rate is c. £17.00- £18.00 PAYE, though some scope to negotiate for experienced candidates.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling heavy workloads through Nominations and Elections week
  • Helping with admin tasks; emails, phone calls and using the Electoral register
  • Assisting with manual labour by collating the ballot boxes and processing those votes
  • Liaising with the residents and being understanding of their questions and concerns
  • Working with minimal supervision as coming into a smaller team

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience required in Electoral Services
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft and the Electoral register

Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm. Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
