We are currently partnering with a Local Authority body based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Childcare Paralegal to join their growing team on a 3 month minimum contract.
This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of circa £25.00/hour via an Umbrella company (negotiable) and the start date is subject to notice. Office presence is required 2x per week.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting the provisions of childcare legal advice
- Drafting court applications and routine pleadings
- Preparing and reviewing documents, statements and orders for the purpose of court proceedings
- Liaising with 3rd party agencies to obtain evidence
- Filing and serving documents
- Providing advice where necessary
- Undertaking legal research
- Instructing Counsel and negotiating fees.
- Preparing Bundles
- Independently holding a caseload of private law matters and requests for information
Requirements:
- Experience required in Local Government
- Experience within Childcare law

- 37 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, flexible start/finish times
