The predicted salary is between 42000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority body based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Childcare Paralegal to join their growing team on a 3 month minimum contract.

This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of circa £25.00/hour via an Umbrella company (negotiable) and the start date is subject to notice. Office presence is required 2x per week.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the provisions of childcare legal advice
  • Drafting court applications and routine pleadings
  • Preparing and reviewing documents, statements and orders for the purpose of court proceedings
  • Liaising with 3rd party agencies to obtain evidence
  • Filing and serving documents
  • Providing advice where necessary
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Instructing Counsel and negotiating fees.
  • Preparing Bundles
  • Independently holding a caseload of private law matters and requests for information

Requirements:

  • Experience required in Local Government
  • Experience within Childcare law
