We are currently working in partnership with our public sector client to appoint an HR Change Lead on a 9-month fixed term contract to lead on a TUPE project. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TUPE and people change specialist to support a significant organisational change programme within a growing organisation. Based in Manchester, with travel required to London as needed, the role offers hybrid working (3 days home working) and a salary of £65,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be confident developing detailed project plans, reports and progress updates, while building effective relationships with senior leaders, trade unions, staff representatives and wider stakeholders.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading and delivering the TUPE process for transferring colleagues, including consultation, due diligence, compliance and integration activity
  • Developing comprehensive people change project plans, including timelines, resources, milestones, risks and progress updates
  • Working with senior leaders, trade unions, staff representatives and key stakeholders to support clear communication throughout the change process
  • Maintaining detailed project records, managing the risk register and providing routine status updates to programme boards and directors
  • Providing change project management expertise, constructive challenge and support around cultural change, staff wellbeing and development

Experience required:

  • Expert knowledge of TUPE legislation and procedures, with proven experience leading TUPE processes from end to end
  • Experience managing complex change programmes lasting six months or more
  • Experience working with trade unions, staff representatives and senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management capability, including knowledge of change management methodologies, tools and governance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and succinctly
  • Strong relationship-building skills across HR, IT, finance and wider organisational stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience planning and managing business adoption, cultural change and people change activity through to conclusion
