Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a Contracts & Supplier Relationship Management on a 6 - 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The position is due to start ASAP, will require office presence up to four days per week and the salary available is up to £45,000.
The purpose of this position is to perform a review of current suppliers and contracts and ensure the approach is as streamlined and cost effective as possible. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Establishing a list of suppliers currently in use, identifying potential duplicates/unnecessary contracts and setting up an approved list to use going forward
- Creating a centralised process for budgets, which are currently devolved across departments
- Collating a list of approved suppliers and creating a sharepoint page
- Overseeing external suppliers, managing supplier relationships and ensuring VFM across existing suppliers
- Building relationships with both stakeholders and suppliers and providing a smooth contract and supplier relationship management function
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Background in contract and supplier relationship management
- Meticulous approach to contract review with a focus on value for money
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
