The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.

We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association based in Liverpool, who are recruiting for a Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position with a salary of £41,529 and the start date is as soon as possible. This position requires office presence in Liverpool five days per week, with occasional travel to St Helens and Warrington.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing procurement activities across a range of goods, services and works, working closely with stakeholders across the business.
  • Leading and supporting competitive tendering processes, including RFIs, RFQs, ITTs and mini-competitions, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Providing procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders, helping to develop sourcing strategies and achieve best value.
  • Preparing tender documentation, evaluating supplier submissions and supporting contract award and implementation.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality and deliver process efficiencies through effective procurement and supplier management.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records, workplans and savings trackers, ensuring all activity is transparent, compliant and auditable.
  • Supporting supplier onboarding, market research, benchmarking and data analysis to inform procurement decisions.
  • Promoting the effective use of procurement systems and contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and business initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, health and safety requirements and equality and diversity standards while supporting wider team objectives.

Experience required:

  • Significant experience in procurement/purchasing.
  • In-depth understanding of the full procurement lifecycle and sourcing methodologies.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • CIPS qualified or actively working towards qualification.
