Information Governance Officer in Bath

We are currently partnering with a public sector organisation based in Bath, who are recruiting for an Information Governance Officer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £39,560 per annum and annual salary increases up to £44,352 per annum. The start date is subject to notice.

Office attendance will be required once per week, and the other 4 days per week can be worked from home.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing complex DSARs and FOI requests from start to finish
• Advising on these Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs), ensuring responses are accurate, timely, and compliant with statutory deadlines
• Providing expert guidance and training to university staff on data protection, records management, information security, and confidentiality to promote best practice across the institution
• Maintaining and updateing records management systems, data protection documentation, and information asset registers to support effective information handling and regulatory compliance

Experience required:

• Experience required within Higher Education
• Experience managing complex DSARs and FOIs without support
