The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in South Wales, who are recruiting for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their growing team on a 6 month (minimum) locum contract. This is a full-time (37 hours per week) position with a negotiable hourly rate and the start date is subject to notice. This role can be completed on a fully remote basis.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling own caseload of Adult Social Care and Court of Protection matters, including care management and assessments, mental capacity, mental health, asylum, immigration and adult safeguarding.
  • Undertaking own advocacy and representing the Council at Court as required.
  • Advising on Education legal matters as and when required, such as Admissions (not essential).

Requirements:

  • Experience working in local government.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adult Social Care law.
  • Knowledge of Educational law, e.g. admissions (desirable).
