The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

We are currently partnering with a Housing Association based in Derbyshire, who are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team on a 12-month temporary basis. This is a full-time position covering maternity leave. The role can be available as a fixed term contract or a temporary contract with a daily rate. The daily rate/ salary will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Our client offers a 50/50 split for hybrid working; there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing budget training and financial advice to Service Managers
  • Managing a team of three: one junior Accountant and two transactional staff
  • Conducting monthly budget monitoring meetings with Service Managers ensuring budgets are maintained
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual Council Capital Investment programme
  • Preparing annual budgets and annual forecasts in partnership with Service Managers and Head of Finance
  • Processing monthly accounting journals in line with IFRS, including prepayments, accruals, referred revenue, accrued revenue, payroll etc.
  • Preparing monthly P&L liaising with External Auditors

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing/ Local Government
  • CCAB or QBE

Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (flexible starts and finishes). Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
