We are currently partnering with an Accountancy Firm based in Coventry, who are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position with a salary of £30,000 and the start date is subject to notice. The role will be fully site based and the ideal candidate will have five years experience in a similar role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing weekly, monthly, fortnightly and annual end to end payrolls of up to 1,100 staff members in a bureau setting
  • Actively communicating with various clients and HMRC, acting as the main point of contact for query resolution
  • Processing pension contributions in line with auto-enrolment regulations and ensuring timely submissions to pension providers
  • Allocating work to the payroll team to ensure client deadlines and budgets are met
  • Ensuring client database is correct (Payroll Notes, Start PDM database, Logs etc.)
  • Conducting checks and audits on payrolls to ensure compliance and correctness

Experience required

  • Five years experience in payroll
  • Advanced knowledge of UK PAYE legislation, statutory deductions and compliance requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of P11d's / Payrolling benefits

Working hours

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Thursday, 9am-5:30pm and Friday 9am - 5pm
  • Office opening hours 6am - 8pm so there is scope to work flexibly during these hours
