We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South Manchester, who are recruiting for two Multi-Trade Carpenters on a temporary six-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £22.00 per hour on Umbrella CIS basis.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled Multi-Trade Carpenter with social housing maintenance experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality repairs and refurbishments within occupied and void properties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties
- Completing first and second fix carpentry including doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves and flooring repairs
- Fitting, repairing and refurbishing kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard
- Undertaking multi-trade works including basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, painting and decorating
- Diagnosing property defects and identifying appropriate repair solutions
- Carrying out void property refurbishments to prepare homes for new tenants
Experience required:
- Proven experience carrying out carpentry and multi-trade repairs within social housing, residential maintenance or void properties
- Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry
