Our client, based in Bristol, is currently recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor on a 6-month fixed term contract and Lead Damp and Mould Surveyor on a year fixed term contract. The positions are due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for the Damp and Mould Surveyor is £46,604 and the salary for the Lead Damp and Mould Surveyor is £53,509.
The ideal candidates will have experience carrying out Damp and Mould Surveys across a patch of social housing properties and liaising with tenants regarding both ways to avoid issues and programmes of work. Specifically, for the Lead Damp and Mould Surveyor, having experience around creating specifications of work for Damp and Mould.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Carrying out thorough inspections of residential properties and communal blocks to diagnose causes of damp, mould, and condensation.
- Managing a team of Damp and Mould Surveyors responsible for carrying out Surveys.
- Producing detailed technical reports to support disrepair cases, including photographic evidence, root cause analysis, and recommended remedial action.
- Ensuring effective treatment and long-term solutions are being enacted.
- Carrying out post inspections to ensure that specifications of work are being met.
- Liaising with contractors regarding Damp and Mould works that need to be carried out.
- Providing expert advice to tenants.
