We are proud to be partnering with a leading charity based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint an ER Manager on a 6-month contract. This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and an hourly rate of £21 via an umbrella organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations, with hands-on experience managing complex and high-volume casework.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing expert ER support and oversight across complex case management, working closely with the wider HR team
  • Ensuring consistency in ER advice and process by developing clear casework guidance, templates, and process maps
  • Taking the lead on key and high-risk ER cases and offering backfill support when needed
  • Supporting the development of high-quality HR data and reporting to inform strategic decisions and strengthen the People Partnering approach
  • Reviewing and improving key family-friendly policies and processes (e.g. maternity, paternity, neonatal), working collaboratively with the Payroll team

Experience required:

  • A strong background in employee relations, with hands-on experience managing complex and high-volume casework
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
  • Experience handling sensitive information
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and data-informed decision making

Working hours: 2/3 days working from home, Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.
