We are currently working in partnership with a Southwest based Housing Association who are looking to appoint a Caretaker on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based in Bristol, with a salary of £25,895.00.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out regular inspections of communal areas, estates, and external environments to ensure they are safe, clean, and well maintained.
  • Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance works within communal areas and housing schemes.
  • Reporting repairs, defects, health and safety concerns, and anti-social behaviour issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Conducting routine health and safety checks, including fire safety inspections, emergency lighting checks, and monitoring of communal facilities.
  • Ensuring communal areas, bin stores, pathways, and external grounds are maintained to a high standard.
  • Liaising with residents, contractors, and housing teams to resolve estate-related issues promptly and professionally.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Previous experience in a caretaker, estate services, facilities, or property maintenance role.
  • Basic practical maintenance and repair skills.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
