We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Portishead, who are recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay for the role is between £35-40 per hour.

The role will focus on managing damp, mould, and condensation cases across a residential housing portfolio, carrying out property inspections, identifying building defects, diagnosing root causes, and specifying remedial works.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Undertaking damp, mould, and condensation inspections across occupied properties
  • Diagnosing building defects and identifying appropriate remedial solutions
  • Producing detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of works
  • Managing cases from initial inspection through to completion of works
  • Liaising with residents, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective service delivery
  • Monitoring contractor performance, quality of works, and compliance standards
  • Supporting disrepair and HHSRS-related case management where required
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance documentation is maintained

Experience required:

  • Experience in Social Housing
  • Experience carrying out damp and mould surveys
  • Experience identifying the root cause of Damp and Mould

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, (Flexible daily hours)
