The predicted salary is between 20 - 25 £ per hour.
Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Solicitor on a 3-month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Undertaking a wide range of non-contentious work, including commercial landlord and tenant work and residential conveyancing, Right to Buy sales, freehold acquisition and disposal of land.
- Support departments to ensure compliance with guidance, protocols and legislative changes.
- Undertake residential and commercial conveyancing, drafting all documents to completion.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice and support to Officers, Members and client departments on legislation, case law and best practice.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience required working in public service legal department.
- Strong knowledge of legislation relevant to local government.
- Ability to manage your own caseload with minimum supervision.
