Our client, based in Lancashire, is currently recruiting for an Asbestos Lead on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for the role is £45,000 - £47,000 per annum based on experience. This job can be worked on a five-day a week basis, or condensed hours for a four-day week,
The ideal candidate will have P402 and P405, as well as experience in a local authority or domestic setting.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Acting as a contract manager for a sole asbestos contractor overseeing asbestos removal and management for a portfolio of 6,500 properties
- Building and maintaining an asbestos register with the wider compliance team
- Carrying out asbestos surveys on domestic properties, including the development of scopes of work
- Dealing with day-to-day issues and resident complaints as required
- Completing contractor valuations and scrutinising invoices on a monthly basis
- Chairing contractor meetings and holding contractors to account for any issue
Experience required:
- Experience in Asbestos management
- Experience in a domestic / local government setting
