We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Human Resources Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-quality, professional HR service while shaping people strategy, organisational development, and workforce initiatives across the organisation.
This full-time position (37 hours per week) is based in Warwickshire and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days working from home.
The successful candidate will bring significant generalist HR management experience, a strong understanding of employment legislation and employee relations, and a proven ability to support organisational change and continuous improvement within a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment law, policies, procedures and people-related matters
- Lead on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, investigation and appeal processes
- Build and maintain positive relationships with recognised trade unions and employee representatives, leading consultation and negotiation activity where required
- Drive the organisation's approach to organisational development, workforce planning, learning and development initiatives
- Lead the review and implementation of the People Strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
- Develop, review and update HR policies, procedures and best practice frameworks
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, job evaluation processes, disclosure checks, payroll instructions and pension-related matters
- Manage and continuously improve HR systems, reporting capabilities and establishment control processes
- Lead, motivate and develop the HR team, ensuring high levels of performance and service delivery
- Monitor budgets, resources and service performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency
