You’ll be joining a well-established, financially secure software consultancy with over 30 years of success, now investing in the next phase of growth through a small, high-calibre Go-To-Market team. This is not a business built on aggressive outbound or volume selling, growth has come through reputation, delivery excellence, and long-standing enterprise client relationships.

If you’re a consultative, enterprise-level seller who wants to help shape a GTM function while it’s scaling, not after it’s already been built, this role is well worth your attention.

This consultancy specialises in custom software development and technology consulting, delivering solutions that genuinely move the needle, saving money, generating revenue, streamlining processes, integrating systems, and solving complex business challenges.

Trusted by some of the world’s biggest brands, the business is known for building deep, long-term client partnerships, not transactional relationships.

As Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving new enterprise business, shaping GTM strategy, and helping scale the commercial function. You’ll own the full sales lifecycle, from targeted outreach and discovery through to proposal development and closing six-figure+ deals.

This is not a generic BDM role. It’s a strategic, influential position where your ideas, network, and approach will directly shape the company’s growth trajectory.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading new business generation within the software development and technology consulting space
  • Leveraging your network of CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and senior technology leaders to open doors and shape conversations
  • Identifying new markets, partnerships, and revenue opportunities
  • Collaborating with Marketing to design and execute targeted GTM campaigns
  • Navigating complex enterprise environments and coordinating internal teams to win business
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, translating business challenges into technical solutions
  • Leading bid management, proposals, commercials, and contract negotiations
  • Representing the consultancy at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
  • Reporting on pipeline, performance, and market insights to inform BD strategy

Qualifications

  • Proven success selling technology, software development, or consulting services
  • Experience closing six-figure enterprise deals
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by CIOs, CTOs, and engineering teams
  • A consultative, insight-led sales approach, not product pushing
  • A self-starter who thrives in a growing, collaborative environment
  • Comfortable operating in a fluid, entrepreneurial setting
  • Someone who values being part of a high-performing, humble culture
