The Opportunity
James Adams is proud to be supporting one of the UK’s leading Value-Added Resellers (VARs) as they launch a brand-new Enterprise Sales Team. We’re helping them find a strategic and commercially sharp Sales Manager to lead from the front, targeting FTSE 250 clients and building out a high-performing sales function.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a newly created team within an organisation that’s already delivering at scale across infrastructure, cloud, and digital transformation. You'll be supported by a powerful portfolio of Tier 1 vendors and a reputation for delivering excellence.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for both strategic leadership and hands-on business development. You’ll lead a team of Enterprise-focused sales professionals, drive new business and account growth, and work closely with senior leadership to shape the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of Business Development Managers/Client Partners
- Develop and execute an enterprise sales strategy focused on FTSE 250 organisations
- Drive net new business and expand strategic client relationships
- Collaborate with pre-sales, marketing, and vendor teams to deliver compelling solutions
- Influence C-level stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Forecast accurately and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Sales Manager or Senior BDM/Client Partner role within the VAR, systems integrator, or IT services sector
- A strong track record of winning and growing enterprise accounts, ideally within the FTSE 250
- Deep understanding of infrastructure, cloud, and digital services
- Strong leadership and people development skills
- Consultative sales style with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (London or Bracknell base)
