James Adams is currently looking for an experienced Lean Project Manager. This is a permanent role based in Birmingham, 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transformation professional to maximise the impact of major change programmes within a professional services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic delivery across the firm, helping business areas achieve their change objectives. The role may include line management responsibilities.
You will be comfortable operating across different roles within change initiatives and projects, ensuring accountability, collaboration and successful outcomes. Applying strong change and project management expertise, you will champion best practice and utilise recognised industry methodologies to deliver sustainable business change.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead significant change initiatives and projects, working with cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues leading smaller initiatives, including advice on best practice and appropriate escalation of risks or issues.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support the implementation of strategic plans across the firm.
- Build strong relationships with business areas, advising on and coordinating change activity to ensure alignment with firmwide objectives.
- Act as a central point of coordination to ensure programmes and initiatives remain aligned with strategic priorities.
- Communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, legal teams, business services functions, clients and external suppliers.
- Support effective resource and capacity planning across change initiatives.
- Undertake day to day line management responsibilities where required, including team meetings, one to ones and performance development conversations.
- Proven experience in a similar transformation, project or change management role within a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management, process improvement and business change methodologies.
- Relevant certifications such as Prince2, Agile or Lean Six Sigma.
- Demonstrable leadership capability, including coordination, delegation and developing others through coaching or mentoring.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of organisational and financial drivers within a professional services setting.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and promoting best practice across the wider business.
