James Adams is looking for a highly organised and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver projects from initiation through to successful completion. This role requires a proactive individual with a proven track record of managing projects on time, within budget, and according to scope.

Location: 4 days pw onsite in Stoke-On-Trent

Salary: £40,000-50,000 + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Secure and allocate resources effectively to project activities.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for seamless project execution.
  • Implement change management processes to manage scope, schedule, and cost variations.
  • Monitor project progress, using appropriate tools and techniques, and report regularly on performance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop and implement issue resolution plans, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, overseeing functional design, development, and implementation.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to develop and execute test plans.
  • Create and maintain thorough project documentation.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved and benefits are realised.
  • Conduct project closure activities, documenting lessons learned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least one year of experience in project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and lead change.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Superb planning and organisational abilities.
  • Familiarity with various change management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Project and Visio.
  • A solid understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT), testing, and development processes.
