Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 2nd/3rd line Network Operations Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will monitor, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime. You will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of network systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and reliability using advanced tools and techniques.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Configure, install, and manage network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network upgrades and optimize performance.
- Conduct regular network performance analyses and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with network security protocols and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies as required.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of proven experience in network operations, engineering, or a related role.
- Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.) and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and management tools (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
- Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Preferred Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
