About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering innovative solutions across the entire product lifecycle. Working alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for creating robust, reliable, and efficient designs that meet stringent industry standards for safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create specialised mechanical components and systems using advanced 3D modeling and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and testing to ensure compliance with aerospace regulations and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering projects, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical expertise as a subject matter expert.
  • Proactively improve tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance efficiency within the engineering department.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in aerospace or another safety-critical industry (Nuclear/Marine/Automotive etc).
  • Proficient in 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience with FEA tools, Design FMEAs, and configuration management systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and managing engineering teams.
