Tax and Compliance Manager
We’re excited to be working with an established international organisation looking for a tax professional to take ownership of UK corporation tax compliance across a complex, multi-entity business. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with real influence, working closely with senior finance leaders, tackling varied tax matters and shaping more effective compliance processes.
What you will do
You’ll lead the UK corporation tax compliance cycle, overseeing returns, tax reporting and key group calculations. Working with finance teams, external advisers and senior stakeholders, you’ll resolve technical challenges, manage risk and strengthen the way tax compliance is delivered.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, review and submission of UK corporation tax computations and returns.
- Coordinate and challenge tax information from finance teams, ensuring accuracy and robust supporting documentation.
- Prepare Corporate Interest Restriction calculations and oversee group relief and loss allocations.
- Review statutory tax disclosures and support corporate tax accounting and uncertain tax provisions.
- Manage tax payment arrangements, claims and elections.
- Liaise with HMRC, support enquiries and work with advisers on R&D and Patent Box matters.
- Monitor controlled foreign company risks and the UK tax treatment of foreign exchange.
- Partner with management and auditors, identifying opportunities to improve controls and processes.
What we are looking for
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified, with strong, current UK corporation tax expertise.
- Experience within a Big Four or leading mid-tier firm and/or a large corporate tax function.
- A track record of delivering corporation tax compliance, ideally across multiple entities.
- Strong corporate tax accounting knowledge and experience reviewing statutory tax disclosures.
- Excellent organisational skills and confidence managing stakeholders and competing deadlines.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and challenge constructively.
- Experience with finance and tax technology; Alphatax would be advantageous.
