Our client is looking for an SAP Developer to support a large scale SAP transformation programme, with a focus on cloud integrations, modern extensibility, and reducing legacy customisation through clean core principles. This role will play a key part in the organisation’s move towards SAP Rise and SAP Integration Suite. Working within a collaborative technology function, you will design, develop, and support integrations and applications across SAP BTP, helping deliver scalable and secure solutions across core business systems.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and developing integrations using SAP Integration Suite/CPI across REST, SOAP, SFTP, JDBC, and event driven architectures
- Building side by side extensions and cloud applications on SAP BTP using CAP/RAP, Node.js, Java, and SAP Business Application Studio
- Developing and enhancing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications with a strong focus on user experience and clean core architecture
- Supporting integrations between SAP S/4HANA and internal or third party platforms
- Managing secure connectivity, authentication, and authorisation across SAP BTP environments
- Supporting migration activities from legacy integration platforms into SAP BTP
- Producing technical documentation, carrying out testing, debugging, and code reviews
- Working closely with functional and project teams to deliver solutions within agreed timelines
Key requirements
- Strong hands on SAP BTP development experience
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite/CPI and enterprise integration patterns
- Knowledge of CAP and/or RAP frameworks
- Understanding of clean core and side by side extensibility principles
- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with wider business systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills
Desirable experience includes ABAP, SAP Event Mesh, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Analytics Cloud, and experience within regulated or professional services environments.
