Are you a recruiter who thrives on senior, complex hiring — and wants to do it inside one of the most respected technology functions in global banking? We’re partnering with a leading global bank to find an Executive Recruiter to join a small, high‑performing executive search team. This isn’t a process‑following, CV‑shuffling role. It’s an opportunity to own senior technology hiring end‑to‑end, influence demanding stakeholders up to MD level, and make a genuine impact from day one.
About the role:
- You’ll join a tight‑knit team of three that operates as a single, high‑trust unit. Candidates and insight are shared openly, egos are left at the door, and every hiring manager and candidate gets the same standard of care and quality — whoever they’re dealing with.
- The team is consistently busy, with demand well above capacity, which is exactly why they need you. This is sustained, growing demand rather than a short‑term spike, so for the right person there’s a real future here.
What you’ll be doing:
- Running the full recruitment lifecycle for Executive Director hires across Technology, Data, Digital and Product — from shaping the market approach through to constructing and closing complex senior offers.
- Partnering with — and positively challenging — a demanding, senior stakeholder base.
- Assessing senior technical talent with confidence across engineering, data, product and more.
- Working primarily across the UK market (London, Glasgow, Bournemouth), with scope to broaden into Dublin, Germany and beyond over time.
What we’re looking for:
- In‑house recruitment experience, having run senior roles end‑to‑end (you don’t need a “pure” exec search background).
- Strong technical literacy — you can read a data science, engineering or product CV and instantly gauge calibre and seniority.
- A genuine recruiter at heart — someone who understands what makes both hiring managers and candidates tick, and knows which levers to pull to land the close.
- The confidence to push back constructively and say no when needed, paired with the emotional intelligence to read the room. Not a “yes person”, not a shrinking violet.
- Autonomy and judgement — you think beyond the process and adapt your approach to whatever the situation needs.
- The composure to take a fast‑paced, high‑complexity environment in your stride and be energised by it.
What’s on offer:
- A 12‑month contract with a strong chance of extension and a long‑term future.
- The opportunity to do genuinely senior, interesting work inside a world‑class technology organisation.
- A supportive, collaborative team where you’ll be given the room to learn and grow.
We’re open‑minded on background — we care far more about how you think and operate than the logo on your CV. Candidates from a broad range of companies are encouraged to apply, and you don’t need international experience.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now or get in touch with the James Adams In‑House team for a confidential conversation.
