This role sits within Jameel Motors UK Auto Retail and is at the centre of an exciting new partnership between Jameel Motors and GAC. You will be working within the AION dealership in Slough, supporting the launch and growth of their innovative electric vehicle brand in the UK market.

As the Receptionist, you will be the face and voice of the dealership, creating a warm and professional first impression for every visitor. This is a key front of house role where your focus will be on delivering an outstanding customer experience from arrival through to departure.

Previous automotive experience is not essential. We are looking for someone confident, personable and highly customer focused, ideally with experience in hospitality, retail or a similar customer facing environment. You will play an important role in ensuring the showroom runs smoothly while customers feel welcomed, supported and valued at every stage of their visit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet all customers and visitors with a warm, professional welcome, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Act as the primary point of contact within the showroom, providing a high level of meet and greet service.
  • Host customers throughout their visit, ensuring they are comfortable, informed and well supported.
  • Manage the reception area, including answering calls, directing enquiries and supporting appointment flow.
  • Check customers in for sales and service appointments, ensuring smooth handovers to the relevant teams.
  • Provide excellent customer service by proactively supporting queries and managing expectations around waiting times or next steps.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented showroom and customer areas in line with brand standards.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as updating systems, printing documents and coordinating appointments.
  • Offer refreshments and ensure a welcoming hospitality experience for all visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Aftersales and Management teams to deliver a seamless and consistent customer journey.
  • Keep customers informed of any delays or updates in a friendly and professional manner.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
  • Proven experience in a customer facing role such as hospitality, retail, reception or similar.
  • Strong meet and greet experience with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Experience hosting customers and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering a high-quality experience.
  • Confident communication skills, both face to face and over the phone.
  • Ability to stay organised, calm, and professional in a busy environment.
  • A reliable, well presented, and positive approach.
