This role sits within Jameel Motors UK Auto Retail at an exciting moment of growth as we expand our presence across the EV and NEV sectors. You will play a crucial part in driving the success of Farizon commercial vehicles and AION passenger cars, supporting their continued roll‑out across the UK market.
As an EV LCV & PC Local Business Development Manager, you will lead local market growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong commercial relationships and promoting our full EV and NEV product range. This is a highly proactive, field‑based role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the market, building networks and converting new business through structured, persistent and self‑driven activity.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, running your own diary, planning your territory approach and shaping how the brands show up locally. Your focus will be on securing new customers, generating leads and positioning our LCV and PC offerings as the preferred choice for local businesses, fleets and private buyers entering electric mobility.
Key Responsibilities- Grow sales across your territory by identifying, targeting and converting new customer opportunities (LCV and PC).
- Build visibility for Farizon and AION through proactive outreach, local networking and presence in key commercial and community areas.
- Develop structured territory plans aligned to commercial objectives, OEM priorities and regional demand.
- Prospect actively through events, roadshows, business visits and engagement with local organisations and trade communities.
- Engage confidently with prospects, providing clear guidance on product suitability, running costs, EV benefits and ownership experience.
- Deliver test drives, demonstrations and local activation events to attract and convert new customers.
- Build long‑term relationships that support repeat business, referrals and brand advocacy.
- Support customer understanding of electrified vehicles including charging, incentives, total cost of ownership, and real‑world range.
- Address common EV concerns clearly and professionally, increasing customer confidence in adoption.
- Promote new model launches and our expanding sustainable mobility offering.
- Represent Farizon and AION at relevant community events, exhibitions, business centres and regional shows.
- Ensure consistent, professional and impactful brand presence within the local area.
- Monitor competitor activity, customer trends and local market behaviour to inform strategy and optimise opportunities.
- Work closely with Sales Managers, Marketing, Aftersales and OEM teams to create seamless customer journeys.
- Share local insights, market intelligence and performance trends to support planning and future growth.
- Contribute to wider retailer group initiatives, launches and local marketing activities.
- Maintain accurate CRM entries for all activity, leads, follow‑ups and pipeline updates.
- Report regularly on territory performance, customer conversions, and engagement results.
- Work with strong commercial awareness to ensure deals meet profit and margin expectations.
- Proven success in automotive retail, sales, fleet or business development roles.
- Demonstrable track record of generating new business with proactive, outbound activity.
