This is a hands‑on operational leadership role inside a growing transport and logistics business that needs structure, accountability, communication and operational control. You will work directly with the founder helping build the next stage of the business.

About JAMA Logistics

JAMA Logistics is a growing Manchester‑based logistics operator specialising in:

  • general haulage
  • palletised freight
  • dedicated transport
  • warehousing
  • operational logistics support

We currently operate approximately 14 vehicles alongside a 20,000ft² warehouse operation.

The Role

You will become the operational focal point for:

  • planners
  • drivers
  • operational communication
  • customer service
  • fleet coordination
  • operational problem solving

This role is heavily transport-focused. Planning experience and operational decision‑making ability are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage daily transport operations
  • Improve vehicle utilisation and operational efficiency
  • Work closely with planners on routing and profitability
  • Support operational quoting and pricing control
  • Manage driver communication and standards
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Assist with operational reporting and KPI visibility
