Overview: A hands-on development role working directly alongside the founder of a growing logistics business. This is a ground-up opportunity designed for someone ambitious who wants to learn every part of the operation and develop into a future leader or manager within the company. This is not a 9-5 role! Logistics is a 24/7 industry, so expect some unsocial hours as you learn and develop.
About JAMA Logistics: Manchester-based logistics operator specialising in:
- general haulage
- palletised freight
- dedicated transport
- warehousing
We operate around 14 vehicles and a 20,000 ft² warehouse facility.
The Role: You’ll support and learn across:
- transport planning
- driver communication
- fleet coordination
- customer service
- operational problem solving
- warehouse operations
- customer relationship management
Key Responsibilities:
- assist with daily planning and routing
- support communication with drivers and customers
- learn operational systems and processes
- help resolve day-to-day operational issues
- support warehouse and transport coordination
- shadow the founder across different areas of the business
- gradually take ownership of operational responsibilities as you develop
What We’re Looking For:
- strong communication skills
