A respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation in delivering innovative engineering solutions across the built environment is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing MEP team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on a range of high-profile projects across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors.
This role can be based from their offices in either Birmingham, London or Leicester (strong preference for on-site working with some working from home opportunities).

The successful candidate will act as a Project Lead on selected developments, taking charge of electrical design delivery and overseeing project coordination, client liaison, and financial performance. Working closely with Directors and Associates, you’ll drive the success of your team while ensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing electrical engineering design on multiple projects.
- Overseeing quality control, performance standards, and resource allocation.
- Providing technical mentorship to junior engineers and promote cross-disciplinary learning.
- Conducting load assessments, lighting & power layouts, cable sizing, protection studies, and electrical infrastructure coordination.
- Collaborating closely with mechanical and sustainability engineers to deliver cohesive MEP solutions.
- Attending client meetings and represent the consultancy professionally.
- Contributing to internal process improvement and team development.

You will have:
- Minimum 6–7 years of experience in building services electrical design.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, BS7671, CIBSE guidelines, and relevant standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office.
- Chartered or working towards chartership with IET or CIBSE.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with clients.
