Senior Electrical Project Engineer

£70 per hour

Remote working with occasional site visits (Scotland)

Are you an Electrical Project Engineer with at least 10 years experience in Grid Transmission and renewable power projects? Lead the engineering delivery of renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning across HV/MV/LV systems. Ensure designs are compliant, buildable, and cost-effective while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting project execution.

  • 10+ years in Electrical Project Engineering (renewables preferred)
  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven track record delivering infrastructure or energy projects
  • End-to-end engineering ownership (design → construction → commissioning → handover)
  • Develop and oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Provide technical support during construction (RFIs, redlines, as-builts)
  • Ensure QA/QC alignment and progressive assurance
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety (LOTO, permits, switching)
