Full time, permanent role - Monday - Friday, 7:30-15:40. Overtime also available.

Our client, a leading organisation within the UK nuclear sector, is seeking a skilled EC&I Technician / Craftsperson to join their team based at the Sellafield site. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical operations supporting the safe management and monitoring of radiological environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning of radiometric equipment and radiation detection instruments, ensuring compliance with stringent safety and regulatory standards.

  • Perform testing and commissioning activities on EC&I systems.
  • Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, and calibration activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team performance.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Level 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or Control & Instrumentation (or closely related discipline).
  • Post-apprenticeship experience working as an Electrical and/or Instrument Technician / Craftsperson.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience in maintenance and fault diagnosis within an industrial environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Previous experience in nuclear, highly regulated, or hazardous environments.
  • Electronics experience.
