The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience commissioning HV electrical systems on power, utilities, renewables or BESS projects
  • Experience working with HV substations, switchgear, transformers, protection and control systems
  • Good understanding of UK HV safety rules and commissioning procedures
  • Hands-on experience carrying out protection testing, functional testing and fault finding
  • Ability to manage commissioning activities through to energisation
  • Experience reviewing commissioning documentation, test results and technical drawings
  • Comfortable working alongside contractors, clients and project teams on site
  • Strong communication and reporting skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working on 33kV, 66kV or 132kV systems
  • Experience on renewable energy, battery storage or grid connection projects
  • Knowledge of protection relays and testing equipment such as OMICRON
  • Previous switching or authorisation experience would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with SCADA and control systems
  • Experience supporting project handover and final commissioning sign-off
