On behalf of our well established Stafford Park (TF3) Client we are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team. Mechanical Fitter/ Testers are predominantly based at the Telford facility but are also required to attend other premises. Overtime is regularly required and often at short notice. A flexible attitude is required to meet production and customer demands. Mechanical Fitter/ Testers are responsible for the assembly, set to work and test of high-quality precision handling systems as part of the team within the Telford factory. Key Responsibilities and Authority: Fitting and assembling machine component parts. Hydraulic component and pipework installation on machines. Machine setting and testing duties as required. Reading and understanding of engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics. Operating manual and power tools. Meeting set targets efficiently. Raising any concerns on part shortages, workload, etc. Actively participating in daily Toolbox talks. Identifying and suggesting opportunities for improvement to business process and the product range. Being responsible for their own health and safety, and being mindful of that of others. General workshop duties. Keep own timesheet up to date on all jobs. To work in accordance with QHSE Management System Policies and Procedures
