We are recruiting for a well-established, family-owned electrical installation company based in Telford, delivering high-quality electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our close-knit team.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for producing compliant, practical, and cost-effective electrical designs from concept through to completion. You’ll work closely with our installation teams, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
- Producing drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Ensuring designs comply with current regulations and standards (BS 7671, etc.)
- Carrying out calculations (load, fault levels, cable sizing, lighting, etc.)
- Providing technical support to site teams
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
What we are looking for:
- Experience in electrical design (UK-based projects preferred)
- Good working knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
- Proficiency with design software (e.g. AutoCAD or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
